The end of the Internet

Well Goodbye Internet, Hello World!

It's true, my Internet connection is going to die as it saves me money and wasted time. In fact what have I been doing on the Internet all this time (no rudeness please) - but like what am I really paying for, ok I like to play games, chat to people online, email and find out information at any split second. But really I can live without all this at the touch of a button surely??? Ahhhh I hope so.

So maybe very little blogging ever more, no chatting online to people, very little email communication apart from the fact I can do that in work.

It's kinda nice that I am living in reality again rather than so much of the virtual world I have been used to, it's a bold new step for me.

Had a cracking Christmas and New Year, a lovely break with someone special with no funny business I might add! Was all very cool.

I think my best present this year has to be Tom's cookbook, was most impressed, have already cooked one meal for P which was awesome, take a look:

Anyways rambling on - hope all is well in the virtual world and in the real one.

Weekend + Monday

Can’t think of a title!

Had a very cool weekend, went to the theatre on Friday with Miss Money Penny - went to watch the Seagull - was a Russian play about love and pain and vodka! Was great, although there were lots of crazy women that Miss P related to very well!

Saturday was fun, pub and curry on eve, had a very hot curry, which had some undesirable effects, wont go into detail!

Sunday youth church in the morning, went ok, could have been better planned, but God is good and shared what i felt was right with da Big Man. Went to the Mall for lunch with mate from work, was manic, too many people! Went to Cardiff on the eve with Neil, Ben, Babs and Miss P. Was a great meeting, Bruce shared a very similar message as that of Paul the other week, was great.

Oh and listened to Curious by design album finally all the way through on my sound system, so I can make it sound just as I want - was well good - really annointed by God - was great!

Monday back at work, very tired, was a little on edge and then found out that I had to cover a year 11 lesson with the most difficult students, maths, bottom set - was not happy! Prayed to God for help - and they were absolutely fine, had some good conversations with them while they worked really well - God is good and He hears prayers!!! :)

Anyway shall leave it there, don’t ask why I felt I needed to share what I've done - kinda odd, but then something I wont forget now :)

Take care! Peace, Love and Happiness!

Stress

One month later

It's been a while - Life is extremely stressful at the moment - I have recently had 5 observations of my lessons by the headmaster, and 4 other assistant or deputy heads. This has not been fun and has made my life not very happy!

It's all cos there was a alcoholic that didn’t teach anything or help the students before I was there, so I took over his job and had to pick up the pieces and sort out loads of problems - well I did my very best but they were soo behind that they didn’t do well in their GCSE's so our ICT department now is under the spotlight grrrr

Had an evening with some people i didn’t know apart from one - it was a nightmare - for some reason I cant handle it when I'm in a group of people and there is one very confident outspoken person - I just clam up and say very little - I just felt like a complete Muppet, embarrassed and stupid - emotionally dying! So had a sicky today cos I felt like pooo - I know that’s really bad, and its the first one I've had for 3 months and I cant remember having one before that for a long time. I need to think and pray about how to overcome this problem i have.

I was able to speak to my PSHE or Citizenship students about evolution yesterday as they are learning about evolution in general and the future animals that may evolve on this earth - I was able to explain some difficult issues with the whole evolution and how that if we are all evolved then why do most people love/care and respect others because Darwin says that it is all about survival of the fittest. They looked at different religious beliefs and some people were able to speak out about their views on it all, was very challenging for all of them i think - not sure what will result from this??

Anyway always write too much - take care

Bored

School

Well school is getting very stressy apart from tonight where this educational physiologist came in and talked to all us teachers and gave us lots of stuff about how to deal with behaviour problems with students.

1. Don’t fight fire with fire - Fight fire with water
2. Analyse don’t personalise
3. The problem is the problem - the student is not the problem

Anyways he came out with loads of quotes from books by authors I’ve never heard of, but he wasn’t intimidating with it, was actually a good laugh because he made it fun and interesting. So after a real crap term at school so far it's finishing on a very positive note.

Half term for two weeks - gosh get all this time off and really don’t know what I’m going to do with it - it's a real pain having all the holiday when all ure mates are at work, hopefully going away with a mate from work but not sorted yet.

Went to the dentist yesterday and found out that cos I’ve got an abscess on two teeth which I had fillings done on around 6months ago I now need root cannel filling arggghhh, not only that they are gonna cost £300 smackers grrrrr Go to the dentist to get it sorted and end up having to pay more again. Not happy!

Youth weekend was much fun, actually felt like a good rest even though it was a little manic - ate quite considerable amounts of crap and did very little exercise :)

Anyways take it easy people.

Wonderfull - u what?

Hey there people! :)

After reading lots of wonderful blogs I thought I'd better blog too - so here I am.

Had the first meeting of Christian Union in school on Tuesday, two other people turned up - we sent round posters advertising it but obviously it didn’t have much of an impact - so we have decided to talk to different people who we know are Christians and ask them to come along. Was cool though, the two that came are great and its a start for what we need to do. We came up with what to do about asking non-Christians along to come and discuss topics every other week, so the first one is on Creation versus Evolution - great topic to start on, should be interesting.

Hospitality in the church, well here's the thing - when the early church was started the Christians met together all the time - now cos they got all a little bit too comfortable God allowed some persecution to rise up against them which then made them move out and start up Church and preaching the gospel elsewhere and God moved through it all.

Well anyway, I really feel its way overlooked and I think its a real gift that God gives us to provide hospitality and to be encouraged in that.

I think we need to start doing more in this area as a church and try to reach out to others in church a bit more and I know this starts with me. I think it would really move our church forward and be well encouraging for people. I guess its something I already know about and feel its something i should be doing anyway, just wish I had my own house n stuff. So please be encouraged, if you offer hospitality it not only blesses u, but others. People can be so encouraged and stirred up if its like hospitality in a God way too!

Gonna put a sub woofer in my car lol - crazy i know as its not at all a bad boy car - Well after thinking this through, chatted to my dad about it - well he has suggested that i put these bigg off speakers that we have spare into the boot, so this weekend if i get the chance gonna try it out - all i need now is nitro and some hydrolics yeehaaa :)

New computer time - so need a new computer - bought this one cheap a few years ago but already draggs, so have decided to give this one to the rents and then buy a new one, cant wait (sad I know) but this will be the second time out of 4 that I have bought new, and they are so much better!

Last thought - off to Germany in the half term break, its great being a teacher sometimes, get to go on free hols - not at all easy though as have to look after 50 year 9's lol Then again is Germany the most exciting place to go, me thinks not - went when I was in year 7 and it was pretty dull! So will see what its like and hopefully my views will be changed!

Rite then - Take care people!

Back to Life, Back to Reality

Well its all back to normal, whatever normal is??

Church was great on Sunday, great message in the morning from Phill and then a great time of praise and worship in the eve - I never seem to get it, it's like how do I expect God to be with you, to know Him more, to change me, give me strength and reveal Himself to me unless I go deeper into His presence, anyways was well cool! Just the simple things always get hidden or lied about. Scum bag Satan I call him!

School has been really good so far, I've made a conscious effort to pray in the morning before I go to work and God things have been great so far :) Not saying that it is always going to be that way - Monday we started back properly, I was absolutely shattered and I had a decent nights sleep. I came home and ate then I wanted to sleep for 10mins before going out, well 10mins became 3 hours, I was whacked - just forgot how teaching takes it out of you, standing up all day, rushing around, dealing with stress unlimited, dealing with 11-18 year olds and their issues and rebellion and dealing with the bureaucracy and politics of teaching and other teachers to deal with. That’s why we get such great holidays, cos we need them :) Have to say I've loved being back so far; it's been a great challenge.

New Orleans - well that’s an interesting one. Why are they soo focused on one City, there are like three states altogether that have been affected by the hurricane and it seems all we hear is about New Orleans and nowhere else - something is up here??? I really do feel for those people, it must be really tough at the moment!

Gambling - well it's strange, I've always been told to think that Gambling is wrong and that we shouldn’t do it, and I understand that we should trust in God and work hard rather than trying to gamble and win money. It's funny that we have started to play poker, which is the ultimate card Gambling game, I have to say I’ve really enjoyed playing and it’s for nothing more than chips not money or possessions. Just is a little odd going against my thoughts and values on it, not that it really is going against them because money is not involved. When I was in the Ukraine, we said to the people we were staying with about playing a game of cards, and they were put them away, they're of the devil kinda thing - they took it really seriously because cards were associated with either taro or with gambling where people get killed or seriously injured in the games due to the craziness of their economic situation. We gonna still play poker but just keep it above board I guess, and yea wont take cards over to the Ukraine again.

Getting involved in running the Christian Union with another teacher and some sixth formers, has already been allot of work and a challenge to deal with different views and beliefs that we have. We want to make it open for students and teachers to come along and ask questions in a discussion based session every other Tuesday, then to have a more pastoral internal focus for the Christians to meet together and support each other every other Tuesday - anyways looking forward to it and the challenges that we will face.

Huraaa finally off the phone to a robot!

Well don’t you just love phoning a company up these days - my gosh what a nightmare, and I know all about it as used to work in a call centre - people used to wait an hour or so, and they used to get charged for the call. People were not best please as you can imagine, many times shouted at, swore at etc etc, cant blame them but wasn’t my fault.

Anyways, back to the phone call, finally spoke to a real person after pressing numerous amounts of other numbers to get through to a stupid robot!

Next thought - someone and her cold, awww poor her - everyone "awwwww" - I always get told, "ah men always complain about colds and little sniffles", and how we are pansies - well read someone’s blog, made me chuckle - poor u!
Sorry ure gonna have a right go at me now, but I just found it amusing! This is only cos I’ve had a cold for about two weeks now, cant seem to get rid of it - yes I’m eating oranges etc, and have rested some! Seriously this is not a specific rant at that person, just passing thoughts! :)

Well let me tell you of my adventures - went to see my parents in Padstow, thanks very much to the lovely owners of the caravan! Was like, yea might as well go down and say hi, and was cool, a little odd as I’m 26 and don’t do holidays with parents obviously. Was was nice to go down, went out for a drink and chat with my dad, went for a few walks with them both etc. Travelled round a bit, went to Newquay to surf, went to Bude another day and then drove through Bosscastle and then walked round King Arthur’s Castle at Tintagel.

I found it a little odd as I was like on my own at times and in a very family orientated resort I felt even more single, there were just loads of couples and families, kinda annoying, thought yea would really like to have a family n stuff. I actually caught a fish, one fish out of three evenings trying, poor hey! But it was a decent fish, i'll post the picture when i get it, was a decent size, so we murrrderrred it, and parents cooked and we ate - yummy!

Last night after the fishing that failed, tried Rick Stein's fish and chips, well it was very good, above average - cost a fiver for haddock and chips, but worth it!

So moving on from the holls - doing my washing today, sorting stuff out for school, sorting stuff out for youth holiday - will try my best to Iron some clothes, I’m not sure what's going to happen lol
